Registration FAQ's

The Registration asks for my HCR Number.  Where do I find that?

If you have played hockey before, you have an HCR number.  You will need to login to your Spordle Account to find that number.  Click on the Members tab at the left side, and then circle at the top with your player's initials.  The number under HL - Parkwoods Hockey League is the number you need.
If your child is new to hockey, you will need to create an HCR Account.  TeamSnap will link you to Spordle, where you will create their profile.  Make note of their HCR number, and then continue to TeamSnap to complete your registration.

What documentation do I need to provide in HCR?

HCR will tell you if you need to add documents.  Every player is required to provide proof of age and proof of residence.  This is a Hockey Canada requirement, not ours.  You must submit:
  • Proof of Age - your player's birth certificate or passport. Do NOT use an Ontario Health card as it will be rejected later.
  • Proof of Residence - a parent's driver's license, utility or property tax bill or a rental agreement.

What if my player wants to be on the same team as a friend?

Please fill out the form on TeamSnap.  We try our best to accommodate only one request, provided it is made by both players, but this is not guaranteed, as we prioritize making balanced teams.
You will receive a message from the League in September with a preseason skate date.  Once that's completed, your child will be assigned a team, and their schedule will be posted to TeamSnap.

Get Ready to Play!

1. Download TeamSnap to find out your player's team and get schedules, scores, and coaches' messages right on your phone. This is our principal method of communication during the season.

2. Make sure you have all the correct gear, including:

- CSA Approved Hockey Helmet with Cage
- Neck Guard
- Shoulder Pads
- Elbow Pads
- Athletic Cup (Jock/Jill)
- Hockey Pants
- Shin Guards
- Hockey Skates

3. Arrive at least 15 minutes early on your first day if you need to borrow a jersey and socks.  Your player will receive a permanent jersey/sock set once they have been assigned to a team.
